Meet Jason S. Gordon, DDS, MD

By approaching each patient case with compassion, Dr. Gordon is able to provide essential, life-transforming procedures for those in need of oral and maxillofacial surgery.

About Dr. Gordon

After discovering the beauty of the intersection of dentistry and medicine, Dr. Gordon found that utilizing his knowledge in both fields was crucial in making a significant impact on patient lives. Dr. Gordon joined Somerset Oral Surgery in 2023 after being introduced to the practice by Dr. Jacobus, a friend from dental school. Dr. Gordon wanted to work at a practice that had a team environment with good, supportive people who could act as resources for one another when creating treatments for patients.

One of his favorite parts of his work is meeting a patient experiencing pain and taking them out of that pain and replacing it with a healthy, functional smile. Knowing that patients may experience anxiety before a procedure, he uses humor to ensure patients feel comfortable. He reviews their treatment plans with them and, when needed, offers sedation or other anesthesia options, to put any patient at ease.

Education & Residency

Dr. Gordon graduated from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine with his Doctor of Dental Science degree in 2015. Following the completion of his studies, he earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2018. He then moved on to Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Mount Sinai West for his general surgery residency, which concluded in 2019. Afterward, he completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery at Jacobi Medical Center and Mount Sinai West in 2021.
