Dr. Alan Hecht was born in Newark and raised in Parsippany. Dr. Hecht is proud to call New Jersey his home. After attending Franklin and Marshall College, he went to dental school at The University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with honors. He completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/ Montefiore Medical Center.
Dr. Hecht is very involved in the community and local hospital. He is the current Chief of Oral Surgery at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset. He is also the Past President of the New Jersey Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Past Chairman of the Department of Dentistry at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center Somerset. Dr. Hecht is a Diplomate of The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and The National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Hecht is an avid New Jersey Devils fan and spends his free time traveling the country with his wife, daughter and their horses.
